Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga

Kashi Vishwanath — the Golden Temple — is the most revered of all 12 Jyotirlingas and the holiest shrine in Hinduism. Located in Varanasi, the world's oldest continuously inhabited city, the temple has been demolished and rebuilt multiple times. The current temple was built by Maratha Queen Ahilyabai Holkar in 1780. In 2021, the magnificent Kashi Vishwanath Corridor was unveiled — transforming the approach to the temple into a grand spiritual promenade stretching to the banks of the Ganga. Dying in Kashi is believed to grant moksha as Lord Shiva whispers the Taraka Mantra into the ear of the departed.

Why Kashi Vishwanath is Special

Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh

The evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat is the most spectacular spiritual ceremony in India — a symphony of fire, bells, chants, and thousands of devotees.

Kashi Vishwanath Corridor

The new Kashi Vishwanath Corridor connects the temple directly to the Ganga ghats through a grand promenade of temples, galleries, and sacred spaces.

World's Oldest Living City

Varanasi / Kashi is over 3,000 years old — older than history, older than tradition. Walking its ancient lanes is like walking through time itself.

Moksha — Liberation Guaranteed

Hindu scripture says that dying in Kashi grants moksha. Lord Shiva is believed to whisper the Taraka Mantra to the dying — ensuring their liberation.

Sunrise Boat Ride on Ganga

A pre-dawn boat ride on the Ganga past the ancient ghats — watching the city wake up in the golden sunrise — is the most iconic spiritual experience in India.

Ancient Temple Circuit

Kashi has over 2,000 temples in its 8 km radius — including Annapurna, Kal Bhairav, Sankat Mochan Hanuman, and Tulsi Manas Temple — an unmatched spiritual circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are prices not shown on the website?+
Prices for our Kashi Vishwanath Yatra packages are fully customized based on your departure city, travel dates, number of travelers, and hotel preference. Flights and accommodation vary significantly depending on your origin city. We provide a tailored quote so you get the most accurate and competitive price for your specific journey.
What makes Kashi Vishwanath the most sacred Jyotirlinga?+
Kashi (Varanasi) is considered the holiest city in Hinduism — the city that exists beyond the cycle of creation and destruction, always protected by Lord Shiva. Hindu scripture states that anyone who dies in Kashi receives moksha (liberation from the cycle of birth and death) because Lord Shiva himself whispers the Taraka Mantra into the ear of the dying. This makes Varanasi uniquely sacred — not just as a Jyotirlinga site but as a city of final liberation.
How many days are required for Kashi Vishwanath Yatra?+
A minimum of 2 nights / 3 days is required for a comfortable yatra. We recommend 3 nights / 4 days to cover all key sights and have a relaxed darshan experience. For a comprehensive experience including nearby sacred sites, 4 nights / 5 days is ideal. All our packages can be customized to your available days.
Do you arrange VIP darshan at Kashi Vishwanath Temple?+
Yes! All Standard and Premium packages include VIP darshan line arrangement, allowing you to have a peaceful darshan without standing in long regular queues. Our local representative personally escorts you for darshan. Please note that VIP arrangements vary by temple and season — Adam Vacations ensures the best available access at all times.
Can I customize the package for my family or group?+
Absolutely! We specialize in customized group and family packages. Whether you're travelling with 2 people or 50+, we tailor every detail — itinerary, accommodation, transport, special puja arrangements, and dietary requirements. Fill the enquiry form or call us directly for a custom quote.
What is the cancellation policy?+
30+ days before travel: 90% refund. 15–29 days: 70% refund. 7–14 days: 50% refund. Under 7 days: 25% refund. In case of natural calamities, government restrictions, or health emergencies, full rescheduling at no extra cost. Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days.
